Default Weaponsmith should sell perfect weapon mods

Weaponsmith should sell perfect weapon mods. In end game Factions players can craft +5 energy weapons for 10k in gold effectively plunging the Henge of Denravi sword into oblivion. Giving easy access to perfect mods would decrease the value of those 100k + xx ectos weapons that are still out there, which would be a good thing. The skin would be the only thing that would make it unique.

The mods could cost 5k to 10k + materials to craft.

I agree, perfect weapon mods shouldn't be such a big deal. If you want to take your pve character into pvp you need perfect weapons, and its too expensive to get them at the moment. Plus the fact that they are too expensive for players who don't have time to farm 24/7 for them, or even for the gold to buy them.

They arn't 100K plus, that is just what people get away with selling them for, perfect example of why I will always protest any kind of Auction House.

I agree that there should be more weapno crafters through the game, and weapon mod traders as well, but we do have a crafter for this mod, you just need to get to it. They could step up and make one for Tyria though.

I definatly agree with this. You can buy/craft some greate wepons so why not mads? these are just as hard to find if not harder (expert salvage) as perfect 15^50 wepons etc.

Could be a new kind of area where you have to battle for half an hour or so against higher levels to:

A) make it more rewarding to get them in the first place,
B) More team work/pug's for the battle
C) people that can be bothered could still make money on them and sell it to the people who can't be bothered to go get them,
D) Drop prices.

Why would mods decrease a weapons value?
I got the impression that it is the skin, and only the skin (and inherit mod) that sets the price. Any vamp/zealous mod doesnt change the value much.

Edit: Don't know if I like this idea too much, would be nice but I like to work for things. Treasure hunting and such but thats me

it is MOSTLY skin and inherent mod, HOWEVER, other mods do make a difference, about 50k actually

Ok this is wat i have to say about this

1)The weapons that sell for 100K+ xectos r mainly for the skin and r obly suposed to be bought just to show off ur wealth cus its a hard skin for this specific weapon

2)If u a professional player u wouldnt care about the skins and would only buy them if u happend to stumble upon the amount of money u need to buy it. other than that buy the cheap weapons.. get the collector weapons with perfect dmg mods(ex.15^50) and mod the weapon urself

Its like the all mighty "rurik sword" other wise known as the FDS(Fiery Dragon Sword). When the game first came out every1 wanted 1... but now ppl cant get rid of them without ripping off noobs that dont know the current worth value of the sword

ONLY BUY WEAPONS FOR 100k+ TO SHOW OFF TO UR FRENDS OR OTHER PPL ON UR A RICH BI***

First off, this topic has come up before (stickies and search FTW)

Secondly, weapon mods don't add that much value to your weapons. Having a weapon mod crafter would do nothing to really lower the price of weapons, only hurt the current economy by lowering the price of weapon mods. Monk mistics added value of 50k really only applies to your upper end weapon skins. Skins like short swords, battle axes, and most hammers don't even get that much added value from perfect mods. So if you want a mod crafter simply to help lower weapons value then it's just not gonna happen.

I thought most people liked to spend money on shiny skins? including "professional players" since if they're "pr0" then they wouldnt be see with collectors weapons?..... meh

With collectors we have the ability to get most of the mods we want in the combinations we need. Then again, there are build specific mods that might be nice to create, and most perfect mods are cost prohibitive to buy in PvE.

I'm on the fence here. Mods are expensive for a reason: they're hard to obtain. make them easier to get and they'd go down in price--being easier to get no matter the cost.

And lets not forget: there are a lot more mods than there are--say--runes. Traders are out of the question for something of this scale.

Me? I like green items! Victo's Axe FTW!!!

But a weapon mod crafter would be nice... 45k for a +30hp sword grip is a little much for my blood. Paying 10k(for crafting)+5k(for mats) would be alot easier.
